YUS

Why YUS?

Countdown is finished!

The countdown will be updated as soon as the new date is decided

Our working group was established during the Protaras Congress in Cyprus in 2022. But why the name “YUS” and what does it mean? YUS stands for Young Trade Unionists Seminar. This group aims to bring together all young trade union members under the age of 40 from the European central banks whose unions are affiliated with the SCECBU.

The objective of the YUS group is to create spaces for meetings, exchanges, and collective reflection. These interactions take the form of meetings and seminars where young trade unionists can discuss key topics such as:

  • What is the future of Trade Unions?
  • How can we make our organisations more attractive?
  • What strategies should we adopt to mobilise and integrate young colleagues into our Trade Unions?

These discussions among young trade unionists are essential, as they embody the future of the trade union movement. In a context where central banks are undergoing rapid transformations, trade unions must also reinvent themselves to meet the new challenges and priorities of today and tomorrow.

To tackle these challenges, the YUS group regularly organises webinars throughout the year, as well as occasional seminars. The next major event will be held in Bidart, at one of the “CSE” Banque de France centers, on April 3 and 4, 2025.

This seminar will be a unique opportunity to share ideas, confront perspectives, and co-construct the future of trade unionism within European central banks.

Join us and become an agent of change!
